CBSNews reporter Paula Reid presses Trump on a month long gap in his administrations response to Coronavirus.

I have read it. Dozens of times actually from the last election cycle from people participating in an election that apparently doesn't seem to understand how it works in the us. It doesn't matter if more individuals voted one way because that's not how the US republic system works. People can bitch and moan about it all day, but there's a reason for it to exist.

People are stupid.

People drink fish tank cleaner because they think it will stop them from being sick til there has to be a national broadcast not to do it. People sneeze on lettuce and lick doorknobs until the government has to step in and stop others by threatening them with fines and jail time for leaving their house

People vote for less stupid people to represent them because they can't be trusted with that themselves.

The point of the Electoral College is to preserve “the sense of the people,” while at the same time ensuring that a president is chosen “by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice.”

-Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers

If you don't like it, use your powers of democracy and bring in better representation that will change the state electoral process the way some states already are. Until then, enjoy your pity party
