CCnC's Thoughts on Reddit's Pos 5 Reactions.

You could argue that playing the 5 role in teamfights was pretty cookie cutter once your hero was selected. You play a squishy hero like CM and you're forced to either buy a force staff or glimmer, save your carry and blow your spells, maybe juke in the trees or some shit but that's it. Your role in every single skirmish in the mid-late game was pretty bland in comparison to the carry's role which is massively dependent on how they chose to spend their gold. Now the supports have the resources to have SIGNIFICANTLY more options than they previously had. This increases the skill ceiling of the game for everyone involved but most importantly it gives support players more freedom in what fundamental skills they want to focus on to better themselves as a dota player.

Yeah sure you can outplay people with playing the map better and all that shit but i'm gonna be real with you dude: only getting better at dota by learning to play the map and position in teamfights is fucking BORING by itself after a while. We have the option to get better at outplaying people with other decisions such as more spending decisions given to supports with more all around gold. Who gets what item dropped by neutrals? How does this one item on a certain hero change the tide of a mid game skirmish? Idk about you man but this sounds fucking epic.

It doesn't take away any of the macro game. The macro game is still there, you're just literally putting yourself in a mental box by saying "Oh if i don't do this I'm wasting my time". Like no. I'll admit outposts were fucking BUSTED when the update first dropped but we can see that icefrog has the intention of nerfing it so other options are also viable. I fuck with the method to his madness. If the skill ceiling goes up, the game is a lot more appealing to get back into and improve in cause there's a lot more to learn. Dota's addicting because there's so much knowledge to obtain. People quit because after a certain point it becomes a grind. Idk I'm probably just saturday night drunk ranting but this is my opinion on all these changes. Thanks for reading this if you made it this far. Watching and playing dota has been fun as fuck lately so i'm super appreciative of these latest updates.
