Most comments are missing the fact you stated you will NOT be on school property.

As for comments mentioning school functions become an extension of the school that is not the case for KY. There is no KRS which states this. Saying this would mean every mall, opera house, museum, historic state site etc would ALWAYS be a 'school zone' or extension of the school seeing as there is always a field trip or a school function going on. Just because there is a school bus or a event going on from a school at a location it does not mean its an instant school zone in our state. Hell seems every McDonalds off 75 or 64 now days has a bus full of kids at it stopping for lunch during a field trip. Just because that bus is there does not mean McD becomes an instant no gun zone.

That said you would need to know who owns this property. The way you mentioned the school stadium is off campus seems to hint that its still school owned. Any property owned by a K-12 education facility is a school zone and you are NOT allowed to carry. Secondary education properties (colleges etc) are not included in this law.
