Cell Service

T-Mobile just moved its LTE spectrum to GCI.

They've had LTE roaming for awhile.

I'm not a big fan of people who say "don't for your life buy x service" because how would they have 100,000 subscribers if it was totally bad? It doesn't matter the network, it's simply not going to work everywhere and people will have bad experience.

I'm not going to recommend GCI not because of experience because there are better offerings out there.

At&T GoPhone prepaid is $45 a month for unlimited talk/text and with 1.5gb of LTE followed by unlimited capped service. When on capped I can watch youtube, stream music and do all my normal phone things. Just not watch HD netflix but that is dumb anyways.

GoPhone $60 plan is the same unlimited voice/text with 4gb of data and then unlimited capped.

Both plans also now include roll over data, so if you get the $60 plan and use 3gb, the remainder will roll over.

I recently switched to the $45 plan just because of wifi availability now days.

With goPhone you will need to purchase your own phone.

Here is a new Intel based Android phone that is getting great reviews.

You can find the Lumina 635 Windows phone for like $30 often which is fun to be able to try out different tech.

OnePlus One is an android phone comparable to the flagship phones from major brands like the Galaxy S6 but you pay only $300 for the OPO. They don't have fancy advertising but if you do a simple search you will see it's very popular.

Since you are in Seattle you could also just hit up craigslist for an AT&T branded used Galaxy or iPhone. You do not need to root or do anything fancy if you want to use goPhone with an AT&T branded phone.
