Celtic's fair-weather fans (a subsection)

I respect Lennon for everything he did as a player and in his first spell, but his 2nd spell has turned me and a lot of celtic fans sour towards him, and rightly so I believe.

Under Lennon we were a disaster. We got embarrassed in UCL qualifiers against worse teams, we then went into the EL and did well in his first season in the groups, before being fucking embarrassed 3 1 at home to Copenhagen after drawing 1 all away. The league that year was shite, we had a better team as well as a lot more money to spend than Rangers yet the signings he made he didn't seem to have any plan for, and for the first part of that season were fucking dreadful. Pass between the centre halves before scraping a 90th minute winner. Only won the league when Rangers imploded in the 2nd half of the season.

Whole new paragraph for last season. My worst period as a Celtic fan. 25 points behind Rangers, embarrassed again in UCL qualifiers, knocked out of the EL group stages after getting ragdolled by fucking sparta praha who in any other year we'd be beating. Yet he refused to step down. He made continuous mistakes to his lineups, he played players in stupid positions and stuck with the same players rather than giving any of the newer, and clearly better, players a chance. He spent the entire year blaming everyone but himself. It was Covids fault because there's no fans. It was the players fault. It was the fans fault for not having patience. He was a fucking disaster from start to finish and blamed everyone but himself and refused to step down despite being clearly out of his depth. Every fucking fan of any club would react the same way.

Nobody dislikes Scott Brown. Last year he was getting run ragged and rather than play Soro who looked good Brown was always forced into the team. Even against bloody Hamilton at home a defensive midfielder, sometimes 2, were shoe horned into the side with no need. This was Lennons fault, not Brown's. I love Brown for everything he did as a player and have nothing but respect for him. I don't know a Celtic fan who doesn't feel the same. When he returns to Celtic Park with Aberdeen he'll get a huge reception from the fans, I guarantee it.
