Now I’m not hating on James Shaw Jr... However I don’t see why people keep saying he’s selfless and put himself in danger to save others? Wasn’t he in the waffle house when the shooter went in and started shooting? It wasn’t like he came from around the block and put himself in a situation he wasn’t already in? He was trying to survive himself.

I don’t know just don’t see why people are obsessing over all this hero talk. It’s like if someone broke into my house and kills of my siblings and I decide to rush him before he gets the chance to kill me. Am I really a selfless hero? I was just trying to not die.

If I ran into a fire however and saved someone I think that is heroism. Because I was safe but decided to put myself in danger to help someone else. Idk maybe I’m just being negative. Just don’t understand the obsession with this guy.
