Challenge of raising wages to $25 an hour

Anti-capitism types like myself just call that capitalism.

The difference is that many consider the very real issues that you list as being unfortunate side effects of various fixable errors. Letting corporations get too powerful, et al. These issues can be fixed through the hard work of good actors. All systems have bad actors and it is the responsibility of the citizens to police themselves and constantly be improving. If we do so, then the issues we face today can be gone in a generation so long as the right people are elected and whatnot.

People like myself and I suspect the person you were responding to believe these are features of capitalism that can be pushed back, but never gotten ride of. The goal of capitalism is to have the most stuff. You can't have goal #1 being Money, goal #2 as Not Being A Horrible Person, and then expect the system to work out well for everyone. And let's be honest? For those succeeding in Capitalism? "Not Being a Horrible Person" is far further down the list. If your competitor is willing to dump chemicals in rivers, exploit workers, pay immigrants under the table, get people addicted to their product, slander competition, lie, cheat, bully and bribe AND you aren't willing to? You might as well sell your business while it still has some value. But the end result is fewer and fewer people with more and more power regardless.

Anyway, have a good day. Just wanted to shine a light on the likely difference of perspective.
