Yes as there is no reason for Usain Bolt to run anymore since we have cars that go faster and there is no reason for Magnus Carlsen to play chess since computers do it better. That's just simply not the case.

They all have other things in their lives though that they can contribute that a machine can't do. When we have absolutely nothing we can contribute that something else can't do better, humanity will become depressed and we will all kill ourselves.

I'd rather be starving that be depressed and feel pointless. Suicidal depression is objectively worse than starvation. At least with starvation you want to live. Depression you don't. And since you obviously know, eventually after someone being on permanent vacation they grow bored of it and want to work again, in some way, even if its a hobby. you will eventually grow sick and tired of it.
