You have the chance to sit down with someone and "set the record straight" with them. Who would it be, and what would you tell them?

My ex boyfriend.

I lied to you, but I'm not sorry. I made up some bullshit excuse for why we needed to breakup, but the real reason was because I was sexually assaulted and you weren't there for me. I was having nightmares every single night. I was anxious, fearful, angry, and depressed almost everyday. You knew all of this because I told you, but you never seemed to care. The first time I tried talking to you about my anxiety, you changed the topic to baseball, so I dropped you off at home and cried in my car. Six months after my assault, I tried talking to you about one of my many nightmares, and you said, "it's been months now. You need to get over it." I couldn't believe that you said that to me. It broke my heart, but I resigned to never tell you about my feelings again. You said you wanted to marry me and be with me forever. You said you loved me, but you wouldn't be there for me when I needed you. What partner does that to the person they claim to love? I NEEDED YOU, but sports were more important. EVERYTHING was more important. When I broke up with you, I decided you didn't deserve to know why I didn't love you anymore, so I never told you. Now, four years later, I heard you're still holding out for me. Dude, it's been years now, you need to get over it.
