Chancellor Angela Merkel rejects refugee limit for Germany in TV interview

Their lives aren't in danger in Lebanon, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Italy, etc. etc.

Firstly, the EU is an economic block. If we're going to let in refugees it'd be retarded to shove them into the border countries, rather than distributing.

Second: Countries like Turkey, Jordan and Yemen are taking in massive amounts of refugees? Lebanon is 20% refugee.

Yes. Saudi Arabia is a twat and is not taking in enough refugees, but lots of the other countries in that area ARE. Especially when you consider how they have significantly less resources to help with the refugee crisis.

Also most of the new comers aren't even from war-torn countries.

Economic refugees do not get asylum, they are also more accepting of deportation as it does not mean death. Quit making shit up to further your narrative.

In addition you are building up a strawman.

There are other possibilitiesn than letting them live here forever and always and deporting people to Raqqa.

Did I say anything about permanent residence? (Hint: No) You're building up more of a strawman than I am.

And integration...please.

That was a cost comparison I used because you are likely keenly aware of the many difficulties and issues in the integration system, making it a good baseline to compare the absolutely massive cost of deporting millions to.

in contrast to Australia or Canada who pick and chose migrants.

Australia is a fucking island. Canada is far removed from any major conflicts.

Comparing these situations is a false equivalency. You can get from the middle east into europe on a crude raft.

Europe does not get to pick and chose refugees. They simply arrive.

Lastly: Downvoting me for clarifying someone else's opinion? Now that's rude.
