Well, when you engineer a currency not to be used as a currency, but as a store of value/virtual gold like btc, or force the motto of "privacy having to have a cost" because you are tightly friends with samsom mow, blockstream et al this is what happens. Exchanges are dropping monero because it already is very burdesome to trade BTC -> other coins due to btc's fees. When you add monero, the second most expensive coin, to that equation along btc, it makes everything too complicated and not profitable.

I expect more places to drop, even though a lot of them have dropped xmr in the last 7 days. All exchange sites (evercoin,changelly and shapeshift) have removed only monero. Binance dropped XMR even though it's not a direct exchange site.

I warned everyone months ago we had to revise the transaction fees down, but I was constantly attacked or at least ignored. Even by some who now are suffering. I will be surprised if they don't choose to revise the fee up to make it up for bulletproofs reducing the transaction fee.
