Changing MBTI types- possible or not?

No. The inherent pattern can be named anything. MBTI has its own naming system. Some other system will have their own names. Like you have IUPAC naming system, and nomenclature naming system.

Names are not important. The person and their personality will remain same if you call them INTJ in one system, or WXYZ in another system (since the inherent pattern remains constant).

And at the beginning itself I mention MBTI changes. Lie on the test, type changes. I'm not focusing on that change, rather what is being kept constant? The pattern is constant. The inherent preference. Otherwise INTJ can mistype as INTP, doesn't mean the inherent preference changes.

I may be misunderstanding you, so I'll need you to elaborate on this:

Except MBTI's types aren't based on some unchanging neurological information processing patterns so your point is void.
