Changing my playstyle and spectations made Maple a much, much better game

>And inevitably, every time I came back to maple, I dropped it because I got sick not of maple itself, but my own min-maxing personality when it comes to gaming

This. I absolutely feel you on this mentality because there's ALWAYS something to do in maple, which isn't a bad thing at all, I actually really like it, but my own personality of wanting to rush progression gets in the way of actually enjoying the game.

I think one thing that really helped me is knowing that maple (despite all of its changes) will be here to stay...a few years ago I might have been afraid that the game was dying but especially after the recent updates I don't think we have to worry about that anymore. It really helped me get over my FOMO knowing that there will always be events, and there will always be time to progress, so missing out or even just not doing dailies isn't as much of a detriment as I always think it will be
