Channel 10 cleared of racism - media authority finds TV presenter’s declaration of endemic sexual abuse in Indigenous communities was blunted by other panellists’ views

some points to make :

  • Kerry was SIMPLY misinformed in what she said and it was not RACIST in my opinion
  • Yumi Stynes did not show up for work on studio 10 the next day to discuss things further when two aboriginal women were to appear and discuss in more detail. Yumi causes a shit storm and then goes and stays at home to avoid it all. If Yumi actually cared about the issue she would have stood her ground and showed up the next day like she was suppose to. Yumi was suppose to go in the next day and do a cooking segment promoting her new cook book so ruined any chance of selling a good number of her books so it really cost her dearly and also the mental stress on her from threats.

I know an Aboriginal woman named Bindi and guess what she does on Australia day ??? down the beach waving the Australian flag and partying on. She avoids any of this crap on tv and she said Yumi and Kerry are not of Aboriginal descent and should not be discussing these matters and that's her people got the shits over it.

We should look at Australia day as a day for all people who live here and to respect each other and learn from the past. Yes it was very wrong what happened back in the day even before my parents or I were born but with that bad history alot of understanding and moving forward can be accomplished.

changing the date of Australia day will do nothing but push people apart imo
