Oh so there is an excuse for Iida but not for Shoto. So if he had chosen to chase his mark Juzo because he knew he was going to Todoroki he could have stopped Juzo from protecting both pony and TetsuTetsu.

Just like TetsuTetsu was keeping Shoto occupied Shoto was doing the same with TetsuTetsu. He was interrupted, trapped and hit by another in the middle of their one vs one, taking the damage from his own fire skill and not hitting the target due to Juzo. He doesn’t feel satisfied because if not for Juzo he would have lost.

So yeh. And him exchanging opponents. It could honestly go anyway. So he fights pony easily captures her and goes to cage her. Meanwhile TetsuTetsu could have easily defeated Shoji or when Juzo came, defeated him immediately. But TetsuTetsu wouldn’t be as damaged because let’s be real Shoji wouldn’t do as much damage as Todoroki’s flames. So basically meaning you want Shoto to sacrifice a teammate for him to do something. Yeh OK.
