Chapter Approved: Matched Play - Warhammer Community

Everyone should read the deployment section in that sample mission--they've changed the way that deployment and first turn works. Players dice off for deployment zone, as normal. The player who doesn't choose his/her deployment zone deploys their *entire army*. Then, the player who chose their deployment zone *chooses* who goes first, and seize happens as normal.

This is a radical change, and a totally different way to address the first-turn problem. Basically, instead of 2 dice rolls (one for choosing deployment zone, one for going first) there is only one. And if you are going second (unless you were seized) you not only have access to Prepared Positions, but you also have perfect knowledge of your opponent's deployment. This is a huge tactical advantage, and gives even more opportunity to protect critical units.
