[Charles Robinson] A Tyreek Hill thread to chew on... 1. I spoke to multiple decision-level executives from different #NFL teams. All expressed a similar opinion: Barring a legal prosecution revealing guilt or more detail, they believe Hill will be on a team - Chiefs or elsewhere - in the future.

Person A goes home beats his wife and drinks a handle of Vodka. Passes out and comes into work the next day.

Person B goes home, plays video games and smokes a blunt. Passes out and comes into work the next day.

Person C goes home snorts a line of coke and does some prep for online investing the next day. Passes out and comes into work the next day.

Assume all three people put forth the same effort, produce the same results, and have the same job. Drug testing comes into effect, who loses their job?

Another one. You have chronic back pain or insomnia or arthritis or PTSD. You have a medical card. The marijuana you use helps you deal with the pain. You go to work, you come home, you smoke, you eat, you sleep.

Next day, uh oh, drug testing. You lose your job because instead of taking prescription pain killers or anti-depressants, you smoked weed.

Another one. You're an All Pro running back. You contribute to the team. You go to practice. You watch film. You play hard and are rewarded for it. After games your bodyhurts, your head hurts, you're wound up from an adrenaline inducing job. You smoke some weed to calm down and take the pain away a bit. Bam, 4 game suspension and you lose 150,000+.

Its immoral to punish someone for doing something that has zero effect on their work. If it does have an effect, the punishment isnt for smoking, it's for not being effective at your job.
