Chase Ink Preferred Megathread

Hey guys! I've just been approved after a roller coaster of an application process and the full 30 minute recon call. Here goes my novel:

Credit is around 690-701 across all three. AAoA: 1.6 years, 2 collections from 2010, all cards applied and opened under a year ago. TU is reporting 4 accounts, EQ and EX reporting 5. I technically have 6. I opened two secured cards last Aug with a CS of 580. Opened a freedom and a BCE in January and were approved. Opened a CSP March 6th, instant approve. AU on another freedom. The AU is showing on EX and EQ. The CSP not reporting yet. I have a legit business for the past two years.

I apped 4/6 and got a 30 day. Called auto line which said 2 weeks at first, then went to 7-10 day. Didn't wait for denial letter cause my CSP will report any day now. Waited until this morning to call recon. I technically applied and was approved for CSP 29 days ago. This was my first recon and it was actually fun! First guy was a total jerk, told me I was denied and there wasn't anything he could do or any advice he could give me. Cool. Hung up and called back immediately, a CSR named Crystal answered and dear God, I hope each and every one of you gets to talk to her. She was amazing, I told her I just called and was told I was denied for too many application for credit through Chase and asked if there was anything we could do or any advice she could give me, once we verified who I was she said "well, let's reconsider this app so I can get you approved today!" Most of this 30 minutes was me on hold, btw.

Begun recon with business questions: what type, how long, how much income, projected income. I'm a legit sole-prop hairstylist and have a private studio to work in. No problems there.

Then went to her reviewing my CR. Have two old collections she asked about, quickly explained, waited 5 mins and she came back and told me I was approved! I asked for her first and last name to leave her feedback for being so helpful.

So anybody afraid of business recon, don't. Or just call until somebody answers who actually wants to help you! Also, having a legit business helps, I had my spreadsheets open to answer income questions. I am not social and was scared until the first jerk-off answered, then I was on a mission to get my damn card!
