I'm sorry for what you've been through with housing insecurity. It's nuts that people are homeless or hungry here, with all the resources the US enjoys.

I def take comfort in these steps forward. But it's not my ass on the line (even living a few Metro stops away from Capitol Hill). Can only hope sanity prevails - that voter suppression laws backfire, that police forces get demilitarized, and that though adults get elected that we can keep chipping away at centuries-old bullshit.
