Why would I follow in the footsteps of these women? My husband is pretty traditional(some people would call him a male chauvinist probably) and I'm pretty sure if I even vaguely resembled these women he would have never married me. He's been alpha since birth.

Respect is #1 in our relationship. That's agreed upon.

I'm allowed to acknowledge that my husband is being sincere in his appreciation of me without it having to be an indication that anything is "going to my head", and as I've already expressed, I feel very lucky to have him as well. More so than he does, probably. I tend to love hard.

Finally, I'm a very active reader of this sub, and I'm going to reiterate, feel very relieved when I read about these women and come to realize I could definitely be a lot worse. It helps when I'm feeling pretty bad about my own flaws. Why would I "follow the footsteps" of women who basically fail at life?
