Chicago Dyke March double down on their antisemitism on their Twitter account

"...we are not anti-semitic, we are anti-zionist"

My issue with that statement is that I highly doubt they would kick anyone else out that came to the event expressing their national identity. Pride is supposed to be for gay people to express their pride (duh) for who they are. If I'm gay and Jewish, if these are both things that are important to my identity, I should be able to express that. If I'm gay and Israeli, I should be able to express that. If I'm gay and Palestinian, I should be able to express that. The only people who shouldn't be welcomed at Pride events are homophobes. LGBTQ+ people come in a variety of expressions and Pride is supposed to be where everyone comes together. You can be anti-zionist and still celebrate Pride, you can be zionist and still celebrate Pride. You can't just claim solidarity while simultaneously kicking certain people out. LGBTQ+ people have been kicked around and pushed out for years, you can't tell them they're not welcomed at Pride! Jews have been kicked around and pushed out for years. When you kick someone out who is Jewish and LGBTQ+ you're telling them, we don't care about you, you're not welcomed and you're doing a detriment to your own people, the very opposite of Pride.
