I'm not going to say anything about the production side other than this: you can make it without bringing harm to anyone. If someone would like to be paid to take off their clothes and pose for some pictures, that's not harming anyone. When you start to go further than that, it can harm the child.

Now as far as viewership goes, it could be a good thing. When pedophiles have access to the porn they like, it makes them far less likely to act out on their urges. It's a substitute. I saw a study about a year ago that concluded this, but I'm not going to look it up because that's not something I feel safe typing into google. It can also bring the affliction into the light so that society can actually have a discussion about it instead of marginalizing them, like what happened with homosexuality.

My question is why is anime child porn illegal? That harms absolutely no one, and can still be an outlet/substitute for pedophiles. It's a win-win. Yet because of this idea that they are horrible people who should have no outlet and should just die, they are completely marginalized from society and have to repress their urges for as long as they can, until they snap.
