Children are ditching alcohol for marijuana, as 20-year national US study shows a 245% increase

That’s why it’s better to teach kids safe drinking practices, and the difference between social drinking and getting shitfaced, rather than promoting this narrative that alcohol = bad and weed = good. Too much alcohol is obviously fatal, but in moderation it’s far, far safer and better understood than any amount of virtually any other substance out there. And it’s a lot easier to consume in moderation too (one shot is always one shot, but one joint hit can vary depending on a lot of things).

Obviously neither alcohol nor weed or good, and of course I’d prefer kids consume neither, but I don’t know how anyone could see a headline stating that more and more kids are consuming a drug known to cause permanent brain damage in developing young people and treat it as good news.
