Children are the most innocent and yet the most brutally honest of all people due to their age. What’s the most innocent, and yet hurtful thing a child said to you?

O man I was a four year old teacher at a day care a while back, I was 18 and ate a lot of food, I was very skinny but ate a fuck ton all day every day. One of my co teachers was a bit bigger, but pregnant. She ate allot, when asked she would tell the kids its because she's pregnant and was eating for two.

One day we had a potluck, I was on my second or third big plate when

4yr: ms._ are you eating for two? Me: no, why? 4: ms. So and so eats like you, she's pregnant, so you must be too... Me: no, I just eat allot.. 4: looks at food at food on plate, looks Me dead in the eye, looks at food again then back at me with this smug one eyebrow lift as if to say yea uhhuh "you tell me it's not nice to lie, just be honest, it's OK"

I was so fucking shocked as he followed up this statement he patted my belly very delicately.

My co teacher about died and I sat in silence for a solid 30 seconds before laughing so hard I was crying. I had to process the rude, bold, judgmental innocence to even come up with a response, and it was laughter. I went home later that day rethinking my public eating habits. I loved that little boy.
