Children at large scale concerts

When I went to Taylor's DC concert in 2015, the metro service was advertised having extended service hours since normally they stop running earlier than the concert was scheduled to end. What that actually meant was they would extend a single train for select lines only and we found that out when train after train left navy yard and dumped us all without explanation at mt Vernon (not many stops away from navy yard at that).

It's been so long but we were all easily stuck in this metro station with no cell service or access to Uber or any other public transit, for an hour or longer. And every time a train came we'd think it was for us but more people would be forced out and every train rode away empty with no employees in sight. So imagine me living a nightmare at midnight stuck in a cold train station with no idea how or when I'd get home.. along with countless parents and their over exhausted children. Screaming, crying, echoing demands of "WHY CANT WE GO HOME NOW" "IM TIRED" because these people insisted on bringing their kids to an hours long overstimulating event they'll likely only remember by the nightmare way it ended. And I was the one who had my amazing night blemished by the migraine I got (I was fucking tired too!!) from being stuck in the station and then crammed onto a single train with whiny tired hungry babies, and their loud kids too.
