Trigger warning (mentions of abuse)

My mother was abused as a child and throughout her teenage years until she left the house (verbal abuse continued). She's a butch lesbian, and fairly open about it despite growing up in a chatholic family. She was the third oldest of 12 siblings (10 of which were girls), and quickly became an easy target.

I hate her as a person, but this is something I can not ever unhear. Her entire family treets my grandfather as if he were a saint-- someone who dedicated his life to science and loved his children. Knowing that my oh-so-loving aunts would purposely do shit just to watch this happen pisses me off beyond belief. They would all deny this ever happening, all because it's "rude to shit on the dead."
