Children of rich parents who get successful on their own without their parents help is a great thing. However, the fact that they know that they they have a strong backup if they fail is a strong factor in their success. They can afford to fail as compared to children from middle or lower class

It's just generally not true because if you're from a rich family, you don't even count money the same way. If you're rich before your 18 your parents have given you 100-200 dollars a week for lunch, spending money is hundreds of dollars. Christmas and birthdays money can add up to 10-20 thousand dollars. Because what is child going to do with that much money. So it adds up. It's just brats being prideful.

In my adult life I've asked my family for 500 dollars. But I've also gotten plenty of shit nobody is counting so I just shut the fuck and am grateful for what I got. Because I know a lot of rugged individuals who don't pay their employees, they steal from their own family and they're always the ones who claim to be self-made.
