The children should be further exploited!

Honestly I feel like the whole skills/traits system in Three Kingdoms needs an overhaul. They feel spontaneous and lack any sort of flavor like Lu Bu randomly becoming "philanthropic" despite looting settlements and Cao Cao becoming a "pacifist" in every goddamn game. The only time I even bother checking these traits are when recruiting generals or spies so I don't hire one with negative modifiers/hate my preexisting generals. On that note, I think traits have way too much precedence in determining character relationships. Cao Cao have fought together in the same army for decades and are oathsworn, then Cao Cao randomly becomes a "pacifist" and now they hate each other's guts. It really is immersion breaking. I think CA should move back towards the traits/character system from Medieval 2 where traits could sometimes be spontaneously generated but were most often defined by their actions on the campaign map and battlefield such as Christian governors staying in settlements with brothels/inns having a chance to develop the alcohol related line of traits. In my opinion, it's far more engaging to see your general gain command stars for being a "Good Attacker" after a line of successful offensive battles or "Bad Siege Attacker" when you continually starve out settlements instead of fighting than it is to gain xp points and select a skill from the skill tree. That coupled with traits that changed their speeches such as "Foul Mouthed" and "Utterly Insane" and provided epitaphs really defined their characters and made them memorable. I appreciate CA's transparency when it comes to stats and understand that some players prefer direct control over what their generals specialize in, but I prefer the indirect control and increased flavor you had Medieval 2.
