Children should stay at school and learn

That's fantastic but it's not the point I'm making at all. I'm not dismissing them or saying that it's objectively wrong to do. I probably should have clarified more as everyone seems to be thinking that I'm saying there's no reason for the protests or that they shouldn't be protesting.

"The brain difference between 2 and 3 years is massive. Granted it's not the same as 14-16 or 12-14 but it's still huge. That and to dismiss them coming out of and while still being in puberty with a bunch of hormonal changes which also influence your mental state is wrong imo. I've said in previous comments that I'm not dismissing them or their points but due to their susceptibility and the potential for manipulation I find it unethical for kids to be used as megaphones.

Again, if they did it on their own free will I'm OK with it but I read in the daily telegraph the it was encouraged by teachers which is what I had a problem with. If that source is wrong and it is on their own volition then more power to them"
