China's so called non interventionism is a silly, oversimplified narrative drummed up as a foil to America. It serves no valid purpose on its own. China is actively involved in foreign influence campaigns, albeit through less overt channels simply because they lack the military means and political credibility to do so. They have employed a crouching tiger hidden dragon strategy for decades but the mask is coming off, as shown by their behaviours in recent years, most notably through wolf warrior diplomacy.

Their forays into neocolonialism in Africa, OBOR and debt trap diplomacy involve the creation of political networks, seizure of geopolitical assets, and control of information technology infrastructure, all of which amounts to the creation of defacto puppet states but in name. Some are more obvious than others but the dragon will rear its head in time. If you are not convinced, you should look into african news, since that isnt popular on this sub and check out how chinese tech and brands are dominating markets there and how China is swindling that continent if it's resources while regularly building hospitals that collapse and having strikebreakers fire shotguns into crowds.

But why bother with any of that? The only reason North Korea still exists is because of the PRC. The only reason my home in Taiwan is constantly under siege is because of the PRC. The reason why the international black organ trade thrives is because of the PRC. And the reason why colonials in Hong Kong would prefer foreign rule is also because of the PRC.
