Why has China developed faster than India, in terms of economic, hard, and soft power?

It's pointless arguing with you when all you do is cherrypick statistics...
Here a just a few Chinese language films that were extremely popular overseas:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Cliff_(film)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero_(2002_film)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fearless_(2006_film)
Also from your profile, it's obvious to see that you are anti China/CCP in the first place, you aren't discussing in goodwill regarding topics on China.

CTHD (2000): about $213 millions oversea
Hero (2002): about $147 millions
Fearless (2006): $68 millions
Red Cliff 2 (2009): $80 millions

The only film the mainland can take the most of the credit here is Zhang Yimou's Hero 17 years ago, the others were co-produced with Japanese, American, Hong Kong companies, written and directed by the non-mainland filmmakers, how the film industries were developed in those places were mostly unrelated to the PRC, so it's not what the OP was asking about.

Both the HK film industry and the Chinese martial arts genre are in decline, which probably explains the lack of oversea success of Chinese movies in the past decade to some degree, as it was quite depending on them.
