China’s Population Falls, Heralding a Demographic Crisis

You can not fake Millions of deaths. Freaking 10 people died in fire in November and it was all over Chinese internet.

There are non-Chinese from all over the world living in China, many of them are making even video blogs or writing about it.

10 million die every year, adding an extra million would not be noticed.

A non-Chinese living in China would have no idea if the data is real or not.

They ended it because they had already announced plans to do so in mid November with 20 point program and before that post the 20th Party Congress.

Nonsense. Those points were clearly intended to keep a balance between zero covid and the economy. They publically announced this, so you think they were lying?

The context was about building before people come.

The people won't come. We don't live in the 90s, the mass movement from the countryside to the city is over..

Yes because there is this thing called Scale. It is logic 101 these are not be taken Literally in Absolute terms.

Scale works on both sides. China has a lot rural people, but it has even more urban people.

One can't just add 200 Million people into Urban centers out of the blue.

You still have your mind stuck in the 90s. Those 200 million people only exist in your dreams. The countryside is not full of young people eager to move to the city.

They have plenty of land

They don't need land, they need buyers. With declining population, then people won't need to buy new homes anymore.

At the same time, better educated work force cohort is expanding.
