I don't deny China steals US technology. Regardless of what you think of J-20, the world's first 4th Gen fighter entered service in 1976. China's J-10 entered service in 2006. A full 30 years difference.

The F-22 entered service in 2005, China's in 2016. 11 years difference. China has manage to cut the difference in induction speed by about 2/3.

China spends a lot of money on R&D. This statement is false. Why do you think different Think Tanks and Institutes all place Chinese spending higher? Because Chinese defense spending doesn't include R&D spending, the government consider it something else.

I don't think it spends more than America, but no other country currently surpasses China in R&D Spending.
