Chinese company's multi-billion-dollar plan for island just off Australian mainland

What is it you think we're doing?

The perception is an issue and the government haven't done a very good job with that. But you can't control what other people think of you. You can only control what you say and do. I'll admit we haven't said things in the right way. But we've been 100% correct in what we've said.

We were correct in calling for a COVID inquiry. The economic damage that COVID has caused necessitates all countries to get together and investigate it's origins and what work/didn't work in controlling its spread. Any country that opposes this is fucking idiotic.

Chinas targeting of the Muslim minority and treatment of the HK protestors is shameful and they should definitely be called out for it. I'm not willing to stand by and watch shit like that happen and not say something. It would be like if you witnessed domestic violence and just looked the other way because it wasn't convenient for you to try and stop it or even call the police.

It may not be having much effect when we're the only ones doing it but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be doing it. If something is the right thing to do then it's the right thing to do.
