Chinese Lady in Singapore Shelters Old Sikh Man from Sudden Downpour

Small things like this are always heartwarming.

When I was younger I was trying to cross the road to my bus stop to go to school in the morning and was suddenly caught in heavy rain. The road crossing in that area takes quite a while to switch and there's no nearby immediate shelter, or any shelter on the way to my bus stop. A nurse who was also waiting for the light came upto me and shared her umbrella without saying a word. I had, and still to some extent have, really crippling social anxiety so I just mumbled a thank you that she probably didn't hear. I don't remember if she said anything but she helped me reach my bus stop without getting drenched. I wish I'd been able to show my gratitude but I was going through some mental issues at the time. Her kindness really brought up my mood despite it being such a simple thing.

Nowadays I go out of my way to help people. I remember a small kid asking me for directions to her school so I decided that helping this kid reach her school was more important than coming on time for fall-in. Kenna scolded by my regulars but the thank you I got from the kid was worth it.
