Chiron and Other Asteroids

I personally don’t use asteroids.

Most who do, assign their nature based on the name.

Whereas traditionally, with stars at least, their nature would have been figured out essentially by their color.

So who named them anyway and why? Probably not an astrologer and who knows really.

Think about Pluto, Neptune, or Uranus. First aside from Neptune, both the god and planet being associated with water, you get very little information out of the name actually.

Pluto god of death or hades, and Pluto the planet, both destructive forces, but still you don’t get much else information in common from the name.

Uranus being practically a total loss for understanding its effects by its name.

So how does one figure out what all the asteroids are supposed to mean?

The outer planets are generally considered malefic.

So why are asteroids praised so highly?

Aso, if you think about it, there are so many asteroids.

At least a few of them will be conjunct a significant point or planet.

This easily leads to confusion when you have so much to interpret to begin with even if you only use the 7 traditional planets and fixed stars.

Never have I seen anything in a chart that could convince me of an asteroids nature or predictive ability.
