Choose a major you love and you’ll never work a day in your life, because the field probably isn’t hiring

It's not awful but it's not great either. College has you learning a lot of stuff not relevant to your field but part of the "college bundle" which sounds great on paper until you realize it's wasted ~$10,000 - $20,000 of your money and 2 years of your life.

When I felt I was competent with programming on my own I looked into attending college and the curriculum was a complete joke because the first two years was doing stuff I was already good at and courses unrelated to programming or STEM. Instead I applied to jobs directly and found work in under 4 months. Had I gone to college I would be wasting my time and money and not nearly have the good position I have now.
