Well the Heat wanted give that offer for Russ because he had a lot of risk . He’s 31 and easily could decline and has a bad contract . That’s not to say that Pat could make better offers for players with more value. Also, you’re counting cap holds which really aren’t accurate. You just went to sport trac and read the total cap figure , but that counts cap holds. Plus , the Heat could just trade contracts to other teams.

Stop trying to spin the Heat’s situation into a negative one because it’s not. It’s not ideal , but it has improved and is looking much better.
