Is it still common for people of Christian faith to wait until marriage? I remember when I was a kid and went to church I was adamant that J would wait until marriage. As I got older, I grew away from my faith and had sex at around 15.

My best friend was still involved in her church and low key shamed me for it lol but she also had sex with her first boyfriend about a year later. The two other girls in her confirmation group also had sex during high school.

As an adult, I also dated a man that was Christian and he told me he wanted to wait until he was married to have sex. He never shamed me for my choices and made it clear this was a personal choice for him. We did end up having a sex later on as an unmarried, fairly casual couple

I guess I’ve just never had the impression that the majority of Christian people still follow through with that choice
