Christian pharmacist refused to fill prescription for woman who was having a miscarriage: lawsuit

It's easy to say that if you don't work in a pharmacy or take many maintenance medications. I see patients every day where we deny prescriptions because they are a duplicate therapy to another medication prescribed by a different physician or they would interact badly with a medication they have been taking.

Most patients I deal with don't even know all the medications they are taking off the top of their heads, so it's doubtful all of their doctors know all of the medications their patient takes. Most of the time a quick call to the Dr solves it as long as the doctor states they are aware of the reason it's being stopped and states that they deem it medically necessary.
