Christianity at its very core is sexist against women

For r/DebateReligion sake, it's not misogyny (dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.) if someone just doesn't think they should do or not do something because of someone else's gender.

If a woman in a complimentarian church does want to do it then their are avenues for that within a broad range of Christian traditions. Protestantism is built off of the very concept of individuals responding to God directly which includes women. If a woman feels called then she should go for it, if she doesn't that's fine too.

Complimentarians do not dislike women. They do often disagree that a woman should be a head pastor but a majority tend to agree to disagree on the issue.

Complimentarians do not have a contempt for a woman having authority in the church. Look at how many churches have deacons or elders that are women as a proof.

Complimentarians do not have some ingrained prejudice just because they think God set something up a certain way.

That being said, there are certainly some complimentarians that are misogynist and they are absolutely horrible witnesses to a faith built on the concept of human equality. This group is the minority within Protestantism from my experiences. Your mileage may very.

For the record, I'm an egalitarian and think that it's between them and God and then their local community of faith.
