Christians claim to "LOVE" gays so much but every time a group of them get together to talk about the wrongs in the world that need to be set right gay people are usually first or second usually in a very violent or derogatory manner.

Here’s how I see it. May not be in line with the popular opinion on this sub, and it might not play the game that some people want to play. But, here it is. You can love someone and hate the things they do. God makes the rules, not us. If being gay is sexually immoral, which the Bible says it is, then being gay must be a sin. Like any other. Similar to adultery, or bearing false witness against your neighbor. It doesn’t mean that you’re condemned to hell for it, as God will forgive you. But you have to be remorseful and seek true repentance.

Take someone who just has deep seated urges to cheat on their wife or husband. If they act on that they harm their wife or husband, and sin. Even though it’s a challenge that God put in your life, or that Satan has tempted you into. (As god allows satans work to test us... read job). In the Old Testament life was a lot more brutal. God made the Jewish people the chosen people because they would be fulfilling his prophecies. Only after Jesus came did the entire world slowly become less violent and vicious as it embraced Christianity. Killing people in the Old Testament, and violence, were the norm. But everyone’s life is forfeit to God in the end. No matter what.

God is love, but you have to understand that in the context of this life. Not your version of being loving, or loving someone. But divine love which is so much more than anything we can do resembling love here.

Also, Jesus preached to love your neighbor and to not judge others. It’s not the christians place to judge a gay person. That’s between that person and God. But it is a sin, and only with Jesus can someone overcome that in whatever way Jesus has in store for them.
