Christians, It Is Not Bigotry to Proclaim Our Faith, No Matter What the Media Says

The reason why people think its bigotry is because you say all sins are equal and yet special attention is giving to homosexuality. There are debates about whether the greek words in the Bible are even referring to what we understand to be homosexuality, and yet so many sins the Bible are perfectly clear about are pretty much ignored.

How many Christians today are overweight and unrepentant in that gluttony, completely ignored? Not only is gluttony ignored, but many Christian people flocked to Chick-A-Fil in order to indulge in gluttony as support for their anti-gay stances.

You say homosexuality is wrong because of reproduction, yet you praise masturbation for its health benefits, acknowledge that sex has health benefits, support contraception, but tell gay people they should remain sexless for life because there is no baby.

Christians believing homosexuality is a sin isnt the problem; the problem is claiming all sins are equal, and giving special attention to homosexuality, while completely ignoring other sins. It is hypocritical, and it comes across as ¨this thing is a sin because I dont do it, but these other sins arent as bad because I like masturbation, I like contraception, I like the option of divorce, I like eating until I am fat because food is yummy¨

It comes across not only hypocritical, but entirely self serving and selfish and not consistent, and thats what turns people off. It looks like youre picking on homosexuals in order to feel better about your own sins, or to distract from your own sins, and this lack of consistency and equal application of standards across the board makes your claims that youre following the bible look completely hollow and a lie. Thats why people see it as bigotry
