Christians of Reddit, where do you draw a line when it comes to stories from the Bible? Do you believe that Earth is 6000 years old? How do you decide which events from the Bible took place and which ones were made up?

Have you read all of the old and new testament?

There's some shady shit what happened in the old testaments.

Rape, murder, infidelity. It's not all sunshine and rainbows like the weekend youth retreats want it to be.

Also hear me out. There are some logical arguments to the universe.

God didn't create the sun until day 4 of creation. God created heaven and earth first.

So tell me, what guided the flow of time before that 'day'? Why couldn't there have been 10s of thousands of what we mere mortals call 'days' between the time that God decided to make the sun and then what we call A 'day'.

Nothing would be false about the book of genesis.
