Christopher Barrett:Destiny 2 needs more weapons that matter, both in power and the hunt to acquire them. Exotics need to live up to their name. The most skillful or visceral weapons like Snipers, Shotguns, and Fusion Rifles need to return to glory. We’re on it.

At this point I honestly believe it’s a marketing scheme in a way, not a very effective one based off of players reactions but I’m trying to do the math in my head....

Destiny 1 launched, it failed to deliver and live up to the promises on launch, players were disappointed for the longest time, after quite a while they slowly made the game a lot better, and by the time Rise of Iron finally comes out most people actually enjoy it.

Destiny 2 launched, for some reason A LOT of stuff from D1’s playbook didn’t make it over to D2, may have been fun at first for some but again failed to fully deliver on launch, que the recent Dev Update post, Bungie has some promising ideas like raid reworking system, 6v6 crucible, overall decent fixes to the game in the near future (even though many will argue it should have been in at launch which I can disagree with)

Moral of the story is it almost seems like Bungie has this idea of “ok let’s just make the game decent to play at first, then crank the gameplay up a few months later, people will go “ok they are making improvements” and then eventually we will release a very good DLC right at the very end of the games lifecycle so we get people pumped for the next game.
