Christopher Cote isn’t here for your Mark slander.

Mark, big fan of you and everything you've started here. It's been amazing and many see all he work you've done. But do you not have any of the other moderators on here who are friends who can help you out here? I feel like that's the job of good friends. Sometimes to sit and talk with them when things go a little haywire, and to give them the truth.

I can see all sides of this, and definitely think Amin went over a line. But you have to understand, you made yourself more in the wrong here, by your tweets. Even if you were trying banter, even if it was just a little trash talk back and forth. Even if you didn't mean to, the words you chose to use, made it look like you were trying to tell him to stop from the show's perspective.

If you would have used a personal account, with only your name on it, this wouldn't have been at all a problem. People would have told you to eff off or to stop, and that's it. But because it was from a Le Batard titled Account, even if you have made it clear it's a personal account, it's just an awful look for you and the show.

So you effed up. OK. No biggie. Then as a leader, which is what you've chosen to do to run this now big sub, you simply admit you effed up, taking full accountability, stay off the internet for a few days, and move on. Somehow the other moderators allowed you to keep going on to try and defend yourself, when all that did is make yourself more entrenched in your own mind, get yourself pissed off, and then get many in the community even more made at you, even some who supported you, because you haven't even understood their problems with what happened. Honestly, this is more the other moderators failure than yours. Even if they have to force you to get off the sub for a couple of days for your own good.

Personally I think this easily could be salvaged. You've done so much work here, that even those really pissed can acknowledge that. But you have to come back modest and humble, admit to everyone you effed up, that you understand you were wrong, and you don't want to talk about it again.

Some won't accept it. Who cares about them. The majority will if you are sincere. But that apology this morning was the opposite of what you want to do. Think humble and really sorry. Unequivocal with no "but". No matter if you think Amin was in the wrong. Because you simply can't do that, to someone who has made a sacrifice for the show, and people now consider a part of our show.

I think it's not that hard, if you can find it to be humble. But you've shown that humbleness many times before on here. I don't know why now, you're not finding it.

Mark, we don't expect you to be a perfect person. Just a decent one, because the show is based on Dan's decency, with both Dan and Stugotz's subversion and rebelliousness. So you can't be upset if the sub that loves them, does the same thing.
