Chuck: "I sat and watched, and I was in shock. Like 'wow, this is the United States, and they're storming the Capitol.' And I blame everybody in the Capitol. That's who I blame. I blame that fool up there in DC who's president first and foremost, but these politicians have divided this country."

only one side stans a politician, that’s the core issue - everything he says is law, everyone in opposition of him is the enemy. having that level of loyalty to a human, let alone the president is extremely concerning. thanks to shameful lies, unproven accusations, & rejected ‘evidence’, many people believe they have been wronged & disenfranchised. they genuinely believe this due to the ‘news’ they consume & the pathetically irresponsible politicians validating their sentiments. weeks of propaganda & lies leading these people to believe there was ever a real chance of overturning the lawful election, and for what? it’s dangerous & we saw the consequences

wednesday’s assault & theatrics was not surprising but it was still incredibly shocking. they have been emboldened & encouraged so it was expected that something like this could happen, and we know exactly who is to blame for this insurrection. however when it comes the actual breaching - the capitol hill police leadership has a lot to answer for. unprepared & even incriminating video clips displaying some officers’ enthusiastic attitude, selfies, & general indifference towards the criminal acts. the low amount of arrests when last summer they had multiple empty city buses ready to detain & jail curfew violators protesting for a well-meaning cause. it was a complete failure all around & leadership needs to answer for how they didn’t prepared their own officers
