The Church of England has called on the government to ban conversion therapy and has condemned the practice, which aims to change sexual orientation, as unethical and potentially harmful.

I can't be the only one on here asking... why even ban this? Shouldn't we just accept that there are probably people who want this kind of treatment? And If it doesn't apply to you, why should you even give it your opinion? I'm sure I'm going to offend someone on here for asking these questions but get over it. Why do we have to weaponize our governments for political activism? If you're gay, and don't want to be converted to being straight, then don't fucking go to these places and ignore them, they aren't hurting anyone. And if people want to marry someone of the same sex or use certain bathrooms because they identify as something other than their original gender, then fucking let them as long as they aren't hurting anyone else. Where the fuck is the common sense from people these days? Excuse my language but I'm fucking over it, you people who are calling for this and that and the next thing to be banned because you retain a certain political stance is not only totally asinine, it is textbook tyranny and you should be ashamed of yourselves for being that ignorant to misconstrue the purpose of a governing system.
