CIG-Chris Roberts: Please release the Idris M and javelin already into the PU. They are and have been finished for over a year now, nobody playing your game cares about SQ42 spoilers. Give us what we paid for.

You are not listening to me. My first point was about AI development and how Halo 2's AI was so influential that the Unreal 4 and 5 SDKs have an editor for behavior trees embedded in them. I'm not saying Halo is the be-all and end-all of game AI.

I was never talking about a minimum viable product. As I understand it, AI development has been an inefficient bottleneck for this game's dev cycle, resources would be better spent on fixing performance issues, and the same perfectionism that got Chris Roberts fired from Freelancer is keeping them from moving on. They should have been able to release a 1.0 of Squadron 42 at this point, even taking the time they had to scrap much of their codebase, and the fact that they haven't speaks worlds about the quality of upper management.

I stopped actively paying attention to this game four years ago. It's pathetic.

But I digress. Really, I want to ask: why do you say releasing an imperfect game will be "corporate suicide" for
