I only label myself as a “tankie” because I dont think any sort of leftism can be maintained without actively combating the capitalists. And like my colleague in another sub said, its used a term for anyone to the left of a democrat so i generally use it to trigger people and people espousing CIA talking points to justify their narrative. So basically I’ve essentially labeled myself a “tankie” without being one realistically but mainly it’s tiring to see anyone of the left use pro state department propaganda to try and justify their narrative which is why im trying to appropriate the term so that people stop using it as an “anyone to the left of a succ dem” term
